There are few rap artists who are willing to push themselves to outer limits. The limits are as equally risk-taking as they are frightening. Magnum 357 is one of those rappers. By releasing his ever so hype mixtape “I'am Good”.It took a long time to listen to “I'am Good”, you see after Revolver Vol 3 we were expecting the Official Album release.
One would have to imagine that Dirt Work and Magnum knew that this Mixtape was good enough with out “exposed fitted”. From the Mixtape opening track “Play Ya Role ft Keemo Soul” , fans of Magnum 357 can tell this is softer than his previous Mixtapes. You'd have to be insane to expect Magnum only comes Gangster in every rap song. We will jump forward to “Got her in my pocket” which I think was over shadow by “My Black seft”.It probably goes without saying that such an assumption would be undoubtedly correct that “Got her in my pocket” showed a difference in Magnum 357 now and previous years.
That said, One would have imaging how difficult it is to bring something to the table with so many Mixtapes in circulation. The key to this Mixtape success will have to be Magnum 357 innate sense for staying true to the musical roots of the styles he employs while making songs that stay accessible to young people who’ve never before encountered great rap artist. While rapping with clarity and articulation .In many ways “I'm G.O.O.D” is great but, Revolver 3 may still be getting more play from me.
